Lifting Spirits, Making Wishes Possible

Through our Community Initiatives program, WNC Bridge Foundation is partnering with Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina to help make a special wish possible for a child facing significant medical challenges.

The child’s wish for a hot tub with a specialized medical lift is about more than relaxation. It offers an opportunity to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of warm water while improving comfort, safety, and quality of life.

WNC Bridge Foundation is providing funding for the specialized medical lift, recommended by the child’s healthcare provider, which will allow the child to safely access the hot tub and enjoy meaningful moments with family.

After more than a year of delays related to product availability and installation, the family’s long-awaited wish is finally within reach, with installation planned for this fall.

Through partnerships like this, WNC Bridge Foundation’s Community Initiatives program helps address unique needs and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across Western North Carolina.
