Maya treasures living independently in her Macon County home. It’s where she feels most comfortable, surrounded by familiar routines and memories.

Her daughter has been a caring presence, but recently needed to return to work, which brought understandable concern about her mom’s safety during the day.

Maya’s home health care team requested four wireless cameras that would allow her daughter to check in remotely.

Thanks to our Community Initiative, WNC Greatest Needs, we were able to provide cameras for Maya’s home so she can continue living independently with added peace of mind, and her daughter can work knowing she’s just a glance away.
