Lainie Givens recently celebrated her one-year anniversary working at CarePartners Adult Care in Asheville. With Lainie’s cheerful attitude, it is no surprise that a family member of an Adult Care participant honored Lainie through CarePartners Foundation’s Caring Hands Program.
As a program guide, Lainie helps plan and facilitate engaging group activities for Adult Care participants. These activities can range from cooking and gardening to travel or reminiscing. When asked what she likes most about her job Lainie notes, “Building relationships with our participants is very rewarding. Everyone in Adult Care has a story to share and getting to know at least a little bit of their stories is not only fulfilling to me but also allows me to better care for them. I feel very humbled to be recognized as a Caring Hands honoree. We truly are a team at Adult Care and work hard to provide the best care for our participants. It’s an honor to be recognized for my contribution to the mission of our program.”
Caring Hands honorees are acknowledged by the Foundation with a custom designed Caring Hands lapel pin that they can wear at work and a certificate of appreciation.
